What a nice moment to watch a couple of gulls are playing to each other.
Partners in life, sheltered by the sea.

A lone fishing vessel moves across the turquoise sea. Seen from above, the boat stands out against the vast water and captures the quiet beauty of life at sea.

Ireland's fishing industry is a vital part of coastal life and the economy. ๐ŸŽฃ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

The richest fishing grounds are found along the Atlantic coast, particularly off Donegal, Mayo, Galway and Kerry. Irish waters support a wide variety of species including mackerel, herring, haddock, monkfish, whiting, prawns, crab and lobster. Mackerel remains one of Ireland's most valuable seafood exports.

From small inshore boats to larger offshore trawlers, fishing continues to sustain communities around the Irish coast. Ireland is also renowned for recreational angling with opportunities for salmon, trout, sea bass and deep-sea fishing along the Wild Atlantic coast. ๐ŸŒŠโš“

๐Ÿ“Haulbowline Lighthouse, Ireland

Haulbowline is a principal sea light that also serves to guide vessels from seaward through the entrance channel into Carlingford Lough. It is built on a wave-washed rock that is exposed only at low tide.

The lighthouse was constructed following a request made in 1817 by the merchants of Newry to the Corporation for Preserving and Improving the Port of Dublin (the Ballast Board). They sought a replacement for the 1803 Cranfield Point Lighthouse, whose position was considered unsuitable for marking the dangerous rocks at the entrance to Carlingford Lough and inadequate for guiding vessels into the western end of the lough. The Cranfield Point lighthouse tower later became a victim of coastal erosion and collapsed onto what had by then become the foreshore in the early 1860s.

The seagull stood upon the rock, gazing out at the endless blue.
And I, before the moment slipped away, captured him through my lens.
