A spectacular and challenging sunset over the Boyne Estuary in Baltray, Co. Louth, following Storm Boelo.
Dark clouds, golden light, rain, wind and the remains of an old boat — when calm and chaos almost at once can make a beautiful contrast.

No, this isn't a scene from a post-apocalyptic movie. and I didn't grow a beard... 😄

Hoping to catch a nice sunset after the storm, got the sun at the same time, heavy rain falling at a 180-degree angle, I guess, obviously toward the lens, and strong gusts of wind.
I hid the camera in a bag about three times, got Monika helping to protect it from the rain, but still managed to get some shots.

Best wishes to this incredible couple who became engaged in Ireland while embarking on their once-in-a-lifetime journey from across the pond.
