Rodney O Callaghan Photography I am a Professional Landscape photographer based in County Cork, Ireland. My passion for photography started in 2006 when my son was born .

I purchased a bridge camera to capture images of the children growing up and immediately enjoyed the freedom for expression the camera introduced me to . I enjoy the challenge of trying to get a fresh perspective on popular photographed locations . I like to challenge the concept of how we might choose to capture a landscape . I like to go to well known places to give the viewer my own unique view

of the scene. I take photos just for myself and if someone else likes them, thats a bonus

I try to capture in camera with the use of filters for minimal digital manipulation. I use Light to bring depth and emotion into my images. I love to capture dramatic light. I like to share my passion for photography with others through my images and through my teaching . I run Landscape and Seascape photography workshops here in Ireland and abroad, both on my own and with other renowned landscape photographers.

All available workshop places on my website, are now set to their Early Bird/Sale price for the Pay in Full option, apart from Slovenia in Winter 2028 and Venice 2028, where the Pay in Full option is just €1,000.

For most workshops, the Early Bird Pay in Full price is €1,295 — a saving of €655 on the full workshop price of €1,950. Workshops including Berlin, Prague, Slovenia in Autumn and more are available at this price.

For the next few days, you can also enjoy an extra 10% off the eligible Pay in Full price with discount code 10xtra.

The deposit option is still available on all workshops, this is for the full price only. You can secure your place with a €500 deposit and the remaining €1,450 balance is due 60 days before the workshop begins.

The timing of our January 2028 workshops makes Slovenia and Venice a fantastic combination for anyone who’d love to experience both.

One of those Northumberland mornings that stays with you… and hopefully one we’ll be photographing again soon.

We’re currently planning a return to Northumberland in early September 2027, with plenty more incredible landscapes, coastlines and sunrise opportunities to explore. 📸

With the great response to our Lewis & Harris and Cornwall trips, I’m delighted to be planning more UK photography adventures for next year.

I’m sharing a selection of images from Northumberland — a stunning part of the UK with so much to explore and photograph. It’s definitely somewhere I’d love to return to in 2027.

Deadvlei, Namibia.
Including people in the frame can add a real sense of scale and perspective to these extraordinary landscapes. They don’t necessarily distract from the image — sometimes they become an important part of the composition.
Of course, it’s possible to photograph Deadvlei without people, but I often find that their presence can make the vastness of the landscape even more powerful. All images taken handheld with a fujixe5 .. Join the waiting list for our May 28 workshop .
