Nothing I love more than heading out to the spooky shots, and Halloween weekend is definitely one of my favourites! 👻🎃

Just sad I couldn’t get to everyone who had something on, but a special mention to the Samhain celebrations at Glenbower Wood , the lovely Witches’ Walk at Fota House & Gardens, and of course, close to my heart, the Passage West Spooky House. 🧙‍♀️🕸️

I’ve thrown in one or two of my own scary zombie cheerleaders at home too! 🧟‍♀️📸

Anyone who knows me knows I don’t need any encouragement (or much makeup) to hide in a bush pretending to be a witch. 😂🧙‍♀️

And there’s nothing I love more than taking seasonal pictures of kids having fun, so I was absolutely in my element at Ovens Pumpkin Patch Cork last weekend, capturing a little bit of Halloween magic.. it’s open again this weekend and would highly recommend the experience!

Even sweeter, two of the pictures made today’s front pages of the Irish Examiner and EchoLive.ie . 🎃📸

I was there yesterday to do video interviews, not photos, but sure when a match like that is unfolding in front of you, it’s hard not to take a few!

Glen Rovers and St Finbarr’s battled it out to the very end in a cracking county final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Just clearing out my camera this morning and found a few that escaped the cull, so I thought I’d share them here. 😊

Delighted to be there to see Ballincollig GAA bring home the cup yesterday! With my husband hailing from Ballincollig, it was extra special to capture all the joy, the celebrations and the crowds at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Kudos & commiserations to Dungourney, who were worthy adversaries.

I popped over to Blackrock Castle Observatory to celebrate Space Week, and what a great family fun day it was!

You might have noticed that I adore taking pictures of kids. There’s just something so joyful about their complete unselfconsciousness, having fun being far more important and there was fun aplenty with cola explosions, homemade rockets and solar system hopscotch . 😂

Delighted that The Examiner used one of the pictures on the front page today, but I definitely don’t envy the picture editor having to pick which one.

A huge thanks to all the kids who launched rockets at me and covered me in paint on the day. In my humble opinion, you all deserved the front page! ❤️

Sometimes I just love my job.

There are moments when I’m exhausted, moments when I’m overwhelmed, and plenty when I’m probably a little over-emotional about it all. But last Thursday, on my day off, I travelled down to West Cork to meet the Finches as they rehearsed for their Culture Night gig.

What amazing people, and what incredible musicians.

I sat awkwardly under the cello, trying my best to blend into the wall and carpet, as I do, and was completely spoiled when they played this beautiful cover of a Glen Hansard song, one of my absolute favourites.

A very special moment, all round.

Thank you so much to Oisin, Ferdia and Julia for allowing me the privilege of quietly entering your rehearsal space and capturing a little bit of the magic.

You’d be forgiven for looking back through my posts over the last month and thinking I haven’t been taking very many pictures.

But actually… I’ve just been SUPER, SUPER, SUPER busy! 😂

I’ve been up in hot air balloons 🎈
I’ve been out on boats hunting for sharks 🦈
I’ve been swarmed by bees out in the sticks, landing me in A&E 🐝
I’ve shot farmers munching, cows crunching and bees lunching. 🐄

There’s been ice creams, GAA pitches and feature photo shoots (the Vogue one isn’t real… yet. Someday, fingers crossed 🤞😂).

I’ve been telling stories and getting up to all sorts of mischief.

I’ve celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary 💍, my grandson’s second birthday 🎂, started my middle child in secondary school and my youngest into First Class.

I think I managed to get to the dentist somewhere in there too, and I even squeezed in a holiday to Scotland. 🏴

And all in four short weeks since Croke Park!

It’s been a whirlwind. 🎢
