Before and after editing the photos. Sometimes a world of difference.

Not because it was a bad photo before editing, but because the RAW files need editing to turn your photo into a piece of art.

You can easily remove collars and leads, which sometimes can't be removed for safety reasons.

More than that, you can enhance the colors in a way to make your photos pleasing and nice to look at. So you draw attention to the right part of the photo and not the piece of seaweed sticking out at the back.

When you have a black dog in front of a bright background (Or worse, an Irish grey sky) it is impossible to get everything right in the photo without blowing them out. Brightening up the dog in photoshop can make all the difference.

Ember graduated doggy school! 🥳

8 months ago we adopted a young Springer Spaniel girl from . She was very nervous and had the hardest time trusting people. It took a few months before she was even fully relaxed in the house and with us.

As we often felt overwhelmed with the nervousness that turned into a massive amount of energy, we needed a bit of help where to even start her training. Luckily Roisin from was willing to take on the challenge with us.

I still remember the 3 lessons it took for Ember to slowly start trusting Roisin, who after that became one of her favourite people.

With many private lessons and starting agility during the winter, Ember turned into a young confident dog who is willing to explore more of the world. She has even been invited to show off her agility skill during this sunday.

We are so gratefull for the help of for helping us turn Ember in a confident young lady. And we'll ofcourse keep coming back for the agility lessons.

The past weekend was great for a bit of photoshoot location scouting for the pet and family sessions.

It was not the first time I visited Barley Cove on the Mizen Peninsula, but I loved every visit so far. Even though this was a bit of a rainy day.

You see so many dogs over there and the difference in landscape makes for a great photoshoot location.

One minute you can sit between yellow flowers in the dunes, other moments you take splash photos in the water at the beach.

Note: if you have a young hunting dog (like my Springer) the dunes might not be the best location as they might dissapear into a rabbit hole 😅😂

All the photos are unedited and just snapshots of the possibilities. If you recognise your dog in any of the photos, let me know and I'll happily send you the photos.

Someday a little pup will be part of every chapter of life 🐾

I wanted to do a puppy photoshoot with a really young pup for a while now, and I am so happy I that this 3 month old Lurcher pup Scout in front of my lens.

The bluebells added just a little magic to the scenery 🥰

It was so much fun to see young Scout explore the woods for the very first time. His body still moving in all kinds of strange poses and keeping his nose close to the floor.

And still staying so close to his mum on his new adventures.

These little moments are worth photographing. They pass by before you know it.

Keeping your dog on a leash during a photoshoot doesn't have to be a bad thing. It is not only for the doggies whose recall still needs a bit of work.

But also for the dogs who get easily overwhelmed and start running everywhere.

My Jack Russell is a great example of this. As soon as she sees my camera, she starts acting crazy. And not in a good way. Without the lead on her, it is almost impossible to get nice photographs.

How does your dog do off-leash?

This 24-year old pony Polo has devoted his life to a very special lady. And now it was his time to shine.

Our older horses are the ones we should cherish the most, as they have been our companions and teachers for the longest time 🩷

Polo is in no way retired. Sometimes he still behaves like a 6-year-old pony.
