Part 1

Beautiful Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens, outside Wexford town, taken in April of this year..

The spectacular lake walks, walled gardens and sculptures all offer the beautiful setting for the great 19th-century castle. The Irish Agricultural Museum is onsite, and holds one of the most comprehensive displays of farming and rural life in the country,

Saint Patrick’s Church, at the end of High Street, Wexford town. While exploring Wexford town, I stumbled upon this beautiful ruins. Through an old iron gate, I was met with the bright greenery.

Saint Patrick’s is one of the best preserved, of the ruined medieval churches in Wexford, and its walls form one side of Saint Patrick’s, which remains a quiet and quaint corner in the narrow streets of the old town

Some more random photos from Wexford town. Taken back at the end of April this year. I'm so far behind on thousands of photos, from the past few months. I'll get through them eventually lol. I went on the hunt for some of the local murals, which were beautiful to look at.

Lots of winding streets, that always lead to something I can photograph. May it be an old church, or a local monument. I love to explore somewhere new. That excitement when I have the camera in my hand, has never faded.

Part 2 - Summer evenings at Loughanleagh, Bailieborough...
The curious horse stood proudly, against the evening sky. The sunset started to shine through the meadow grasses. The sweeping views across the countryside were bathed in golden light.

These are the moments make Irish summers unforgettable. Nature putting on the best show, right on our doorstep. Why I love calling this corner of Cavan home...

There's something truly special about a July sunset, in the Cavan countryside. As the sun slowly dipped below the horizon, at Loughanleagh. The sky came alive with rich shades of orange, pink and gold, casting a glow across the rolling hills.

An incredible sunset at Loughanleagh Mountain, between Bailieborough and Kingscourt. Met up with some members from the photo club. Were currently on break for the summer, so was nice to catch up with each other. It was actually very windy up top, but the colourful display was worth it.

We patiently waited for the sun to descend, with the silhouette of the nearby wind turbines in the distance. It was the perfect end to the summer day.....

Lots more photos, from Wexford, back in April. Wexford Town is steeped in history, dating back to Viking times. Thousands of steps through the town to visit, Selskar Abbey, a 12th-century Augustinian abbey, and Westgate Heritage Tower, the last surviving gate of the medieval walled town, offering insight into Wexford’s past and Norman architecture.

Well worth a visit

Part 1, Wexford, April 2026

Enjoyed wonderful Wexford Town, back in April this year. A lovely spring break. With it's colourful streets, welcoming atmosphere, and rich maritime heritage. Wandered through charming laneways, admired the historic buildings , and spent time along the picturesque quays.
