Yorkshire Neolithic Henges
One thing in Yorkshire we are not short of is amazing history.
After the legendary Thornborough Henge (which is a must see) we have more dotted about the area.
With the dry weather some of the Henges show up more than they would normally do.
Here we have Cana Henge near Marton-Le-Moor (Neolithic monument are astounding: 200m across, once a great circle of earthen banks and deep ditches. Today, almost lost: 5,000 years) and Hutton Moor (both near Ripon, North Yorks) dating back to the Neolithic times ..
