I spent over a week relaxing here after the annapurna base camp trek. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to be. We had hammocks in the hostel Phat Kath that I was staying at, I remember being completely hooked on two books when I was there by Jon Krakauer; Into Thin Air and Into The Wild. I would spend hours in the hammock reading completely lost in those books. At night me and friends I'd made would go to local restaurants and outdoor cinema, stuffing my face with Thali and Momos was the best thing ever. One night a large group of us rented boats out and paddled out to temple Island to watch the sunset, we underestimated the walk once you arrived and found ourselves walking through darkness with our phone lights, the paddle back in darkness was memorable, we all stopped half way back and had music playing, gazing up at the clear night sky gave a strong sense of peace and gratitude.
