Jack Lodge is a professional landscape photographer from Wimborne, Dorset in the South West of England, UK. Through his landscape photography, Jack strives to photograph the true beauty of each season and capture the light as it dances across the landscape. His landscape photography varies from misty bluebell woods, to dramatic seascapes on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. Landscape photography is Jack’s

way of being able to capture moments in time, landscapes which tell a story that will last forever. He is a firm believer in printing his work, bringing the digital art form to life through tactile papers, and has seen his prints, box sets, and calendars shipped internationally. You can join Jack on one of his Dorset landscape photography workshops to focus on capturing the seasons, or book onto some 1-2-1 tuition where you will get his undivided attention out in the field.

Being this close to a kingfisher is always a magical experience , let alone when it's a juvenile that's just fledged and practices hunting right in front of your lens 🤯

Over the last year or so, I've focused more on zooming out to capture wildlife more in the landscape, combining my passion for both genres - but when the opportunity presents itself for a frame filler to show off all of that beautiful detail, it's hard to resist 😂

Yes, camera club judges out there, this is a bird on a stick 👍🏻

I'm an absolute sucker for a beech tree, by far one of my favourite subjects alongside a twisted oak - they're just so majestic and always have such a presence in the woods, especially during the green season 🌳

This photo is one of a dozen or so taken of this years wonderful fox cubs, hope you enjoy it as we had goosebumps the entire encounter, especially as this young one took flight and leaped across the field 🥹

I am so excited to sit down and spend some quality time processing over 30,000 RAW files that were taken in the hide over the last 3 weeks - partially due to having the R1 on a long loan and being very sad to ship it back this week 😭

Biggest thanks goes to Neil and Tom for the amazing work they do, and for allowing my clients and I to get up close and personal with these incredible animals 🦊

Look forward to retuning in the winter once these little fluff balls have their winter coat and put on a few kilos...

Heading up to London to photograph some foxes, it was inevitable that I'd come across a parakeet or two at some point... absolutely incredible colourings and with the fresh green Summer backdrop, for a few minutes I felt like I was in another country 😂

Also hugely impressed with the R1's autofocus to be able to track and focus without missing ONCE for nearly 200 frames during this little encounter, just holding down the shutter button and praying for some nice wing positions 😮‍💨

I was fortunate enough to take a few trips to this incredible poppy field in Wiltshire, easily photographed from the side of the road (although I witnessed several other photographers happily stamp through the field to get their shots) so sadly it's no surprise that the farmer has now completely cut the field with the poppies being no more 🤷🏻‍♂️

This was my favourite from all the visits, some of my favourite conditions - dappled light and mid-afternoon light which really gives that "Windows XP" wallpaper vibe and shows off our wonderful landscape of rolling hills and incredible fields down here on the South Coast 👌🏻

Thankfully after a pretty wet morning it looks like the light is on the way later this afternoon, so I'm excited to get out and stretch my legs with a client and see what summer scenes we can photograph 😮‍💨

During the hot spell a few weeks back, we were blessed with many misty mornings on the heathlands, meaning I could try some more contextual wildlife photos and this little curlew became a great subject just as the sun began to rise 😃

Catch-up time and a big travel back in time to 2019 when myself and a few friends went exploring down a foggy Badbury Rings and took turns spotting to take this picture - thankfully it was a Sunday morning around 05:00 so traffic was non-existent, but please don't attempt this without a spotter or two !

One of my favourite little scenes to return too every season and this year the summer setup is absolutely beautiful...

You have wheat fields, barley fields, wild flower crops (including two very well placed wild red poppies on the bottom left corner) and when paired with a blue sky, fluffy white clouds and dappled light, you have a combination too hard to resist spending a good hour photographing 😍

A quick handheld bracket while on a workshop a few weeks back, spectacular light along the coast and a surprise amount of colour in the sky - always rewarding after a long day walking along the coastline 😍

Now time to had out storm chasing, wish us luck 🤞🏻
