The Sun

Taken today at midday to trial the new filters I’ll be using for the eclipse in a couple of weeks.

Fairly pleased as I managed to get some sun spots in the image and on the pc some texture of the burning sun 🌞

Looking forward to the eclipse and trying something different.

Trinidad MotMot - Tobago

A stunning bird that is often overlooked due to it being very common. However to get one out in the open in a natural setting without lots of branches in the way is not that easy lol

This one was taken in the forest on Little Tobago and I love how the light is shining and reflecting through the canopy behind the bird. Giving it an almost church light feel when the light signs through stain glass.

Yellow-Crowned Heron - Tobago

Not an uncommon heron on Tobago but was one of my target species in the open and at eye level.

Was over the moon when we came across this one in the mangroves and was very tolerant of us being there and didn’t fly off. Fairly pleased with the back photo to show his breeding feathers growing and the lovely pattern on his back.

Not as stunning as the male but in my eyes just as beautiful.
