Sun-rays, bluebells and the vibrant greens of the new leaves are definitely signs of my favourite time of year! Very grateful to have the opportunity to visit this woods again and see how it has recovered from the heavy machine tracks and forest clearing two year ago. Hats off to Mother Nature and in part the forestry commission for maintaining this beautiful woodland!

I can say this is definitely becoming my favourite angle of Corfe Castle 😍 The mist gives the impression that’s it floating in the clouds! Cloud almost see some dragons flying around in this fairytale scenery.

It’s been a while hasn’t it! And with this comes mistakes.. so here’s the correct resolution photograph for instagram.

Dusted the camera off last night in preparation for this mornings forecast mist. I was a little apprehensive on the drive to Corfe as there was very little mist around. Thankfully on arrival I could see a light covering.

Once near the top the mist was simply stunning! A light covering around and to each side of the village.

This shot was taken at 7:10, a good 40 minutes before sunrise.

Corfe Castle and the most beautiful display of aurora I’ve ever watched or photographed! What an end to the week!

The aurora alarms started going off about 18:00 and contributed late into the morning. I wasn’t going to head out, but very exited live stream changed my mind! So thank you Jack! 🙏🏻

The colours are just incredible, the blues and reds are between 250-500km sitting in the Thermosphere. The greens are between 100-200km high.

Sometimes when your normal routine sleep schedule waking you up on your day off, pays off!
Looking out the window after waking up, Wimborne was cloaked in thick fog! Rushing to get everything ready and get out into the forests of wild garlic. On a calm day like this morning you can smell the garlic whilst driving around, it’s amazing if you like garlic. Unfortunately no thick fog in the forest, just a very light mist. Did you know you can harvest and eat the leaves and flowers? Lovely in a salad or sandwich!

Is this finally the time that the cloudy grey, cold days end?

Truly the best time of the year for us photographers. Stunning, vibrant green foliage, bluebells carpeting the forest floor, bright yellow rapeseed fields, wild garlic forests, big fluffy clouds, rainbows! Stunning time of year! 🤩

Fingers crossed for some more clear mornings and stunning lighting in the Dorset bluebell forests 🤞🏻

Isn’t photography just like a highway, or road for those not in the US!?

My love for photography has never been stronger. Though learning has been a difficult, challenging and at times unrewarding road.

It has nevertheless been an amazing journey full of experiences I’ll never forget and those experiences I can share with you all in an image.
