I’ve had a really rubbish few weeks due to a slipped disc in my neck causing me big problems with full use of arm and hand amongst other things, this caused/is causing me to struggle with wedding edits etc and just generally functioning and I’ve been stressed, in immense pain and totally fed up and feeling under pressure to get things done as well as work full time, then this lovely surprise arrived from a recent wedding couple and really cheered me up, what a sweet gesture and so nice to know how much my efforts have been appreciated ❤️

Solar Eclipse at 80%

It was a hard fought battle to get this image, between the cloud and the daylight, however, I really wanted an eclipse shot with something in the foreground and beggars can't be choosers, we saw a break in the cloud halfway to Fraserburgh so pulled into a random side road where these trees became the only choice, quite happy with how this turned out even though the sun is tiny......

These are the best images I could get of the Solar Eclipse last night, there was so much cloud but it did make it easier to photograph, nice to see it if nothing else

Everyone is gearing up for the Solar Eclipse tomorrow 🌒🌞☁️ Unfortunately quite a lot of cloud cover is expected over Aberdeenshire and more so the rest of Scotland, however, it was the same when I last photographed a partial eclipse (80%) back in 2015 so here's hoping for some visibility tomorrow evening. Listen to the safety advice - Wear the appropriate glasses or observe through a safe means and have filters on camera lenses to protect the sensor up until the maximum around 7pm, sometimes a bit of cloud actually makes viewing easier and safer, lets hope.........
