Well, August has brought 7 wonderful weddings with 7 brilliant couples. 🤍

I’ve been back to some of my favourite Cornwall wedding venues, including The Barn at Pengelly , Avalen Farm, Barn weddings cornwall , Knightor Winery Weddings , Weddings Hotel Meudon and Trevenna , and fitted in a couple of first visits too, at Sandy Cove Hotel and The Greenbank Hotel .

I feel incredibly lucky that these couples trust me to photograph such an important day. I’ve genuinely loved every single wedding.

And one of my favourite things about this job is all the people I get to meet along the way. Spending time with families, chatting to uncles about cameras, and having conversations about everything from rave music to Lord of the Rings. Life is certainly never dull!

2027 is already looking like it could be my busiest year yet, so if you’re planning a wedding in Cornwall (or a little further afield) for 2027 or 2028 and you’ve been thinking about getting in touch, now’s a very good time to check whether your date is still available.

Part two, because choosing a sensible number of photos from this wedding was apparently not happening. 😂

The first post was all about the gorgeous setting, sunshine and alfresco dinner. This one is more about the people.

So much laughter, so many brilliant little moments, and a dancefloor that properly came alive once Murder on the Dance Floor got going.

That’s the stuff I’m always looking for at a wedding. Not perfect poses or everyone constantly looking at the camera, but the things that actually made the day feel like theirs. The reactions, the chaos, the hugs, the ridiculous dancing and all the bits in between that probably went unnoticed at the time.

And this wedding had absolutely loads of it.

Such a joyful day from start to finish, and one I could have happily photographed for another few hours.

What a day for Charlotte & Josh at The Barn at Pengelly! 🤍

From the buzz of the morning preparations (and a cheeky hot tub trip from Josh 🤫), through all the emotion of the ceremony, to a brilliantly chaotic game of Mr & Mrs, a packed dancefloor and the most gorgeous evening light to finish it all off.

This one really had everything, but more than anything it was a day completely centred around family, friends and having a bloody good time.

Exactly my kind of wedding.

Sorry about all the musical theatre. 🎭

If you followed me because you were looking for a Cornwall wedding photographer, you may have noticed that your feed has recently contained rather more singing, dancing and theatrical lighting than you bargained for.

I’ve been photographing ‘s brilliant production of CATS, and apparently I’ve been incapable of keeping quiet about it.

Normal wedding service will resume shortly. Probably.

Although looking through the photographs, there’s actually quite a lot in common.

Big emotions. Tiny moments. People completely caught up in what’s happening around them. And occasionally someone flying through the air.

Whether I’m photographing a wedding, a theatre production or a packed dance floor, that’s the stuff I’m always looking for.

Real moments. Big reactions. People having the absolute best time.

Anyway. Weddings are back.

Absolutely gutted to hear that my friend The Magic of Graham Prigg has passed away.

You were a true gent. A talented magician and an all round good egg.

Thoughts go to his family and all who knew him.

I’ve got this gorgeous couple on my editing screen today and it made me realise one of my favourite moments of your wedding day.
It’s the quiet two minutes (sometimes more, sometimes less) after your ceremony, usually while your witnesses are signing. Just the two of you.

I don’t come over, I don’t congratulate you. I let you soak in the first few moments as a married couple together.

Just a beautiful moment, beautifully captured.

Amy & Ben. What. A. Day. ❤️

My first wedding at Sandy Cove and what an introduction!

I actually started photographing these guys the evening before, with a little pre-wedding shoot on the beach with Amy, Ben and their brilliant kids. Then the next morning we got to do it all properly…

An outdoor ceremony overlooking the sea, plenty of tears, even more laughter, gorgeous people and one hell of a party.

By the end there were giant inflatable microphones, saxophones, space hoppers, some highly questionable air-guitar technique and very little chance of me putting my cameras down. 😂

This is exactly why I love photographing weddings. The beautiful stuff, obviously, but mostly people being people. Laughing, crying, hugging, singing, being ridiculous and having the absolute time of their lives.

Amy & Ben, you were an absolute joy. Thank you for having me along for it. ❤️
