Had a lovely surprise in the garden today with a visit from a Jersey Tiger moth. It’s such a beautiful species — those vivid orange hindwings and bold black‑and‑cream stripes look almost hand‑painted. They’re one of the few moths in Britain that regularly fly in daylight, and their numbers have been spreading across the south in recent years. Amazing colours, amazing pattern, and a real little moment of magic to watch.
