First wedding of the year ticked off this week at Livermead Cliff Hotel, Torquay🤍

Ginny & Ray’s day was such a beautiful one to capture with the English Riviera as it’s beautiful backdrop and a relaxed, emotional ceremony set in the gazebo.

Did you know I studied Commercial Photography at university?

My journey has been far from a linear one… from studying photography, to working in-house as a Creative Photographer with some of the world’s biggest brands. I then moved into social media and content creation, later managing creative across different brands in an agency, and most recently working in-house as a Digital Marketing Specialist. Now I get the best of both worlds working as a photographer and running a small digital marketing agency .creative 🙌

The best part is that all of that experience has given me a really strong understanding of what your photography and short video content actually needs to do, not just how it should look.

So now when I work with my lovely clients, it’s never just about getting a nice photo or creating something that looks good.

I’m always thinking about how it’ll work, how it represents you, and where you’re actually going to use it 🫶

A recent shoot with the fabulous Richard, - a new Toastmaster here in Torbay 🙌

Richard needed some relaxed, natural brand imagery for his new website, nothing too staged, just something that really reflects who he is. Approachable, friendly, and someone you’d instantly feel at ease with… which made my job very easy.

These are a few favourites from the shoot. We kept things simple and focused on capturing his personality so his future clients can get a real feel for him before they even enquire.

❌ Brand photography isn’t just about getting one good headshot…

My lovely client Abi wanted imagery that felt professional for her marketing business, but still showcased her relaxed, easygoing remote working style.

For me, brand shoots are all about telling your brand story, creating a bank of images that reflect how you actually work, capturing the essence of your business and creating imagery that can be repurposed or utilised across all marketing touch points.

Photos that feel like your brand, not stock imagery that could belong to anyone… Because the reality is, when your audience can see you, they connect quicker and that’s where trust starts and enquiries follow.

So… if you’re still rotating the same 3 images taken on your iPhone from 2022 or heavily relying on shutter stock, it might be time for that refresh 😌

Did you know I shoot weddings too? 🤍

Lou & Nick’s day was relaxed, full of laughter and completely pressure-free, exactly how it should be.

We kept portraits simple, didn’t drag them away from their guests for ages, and fully embraced the confetti moment 💐

Days like this are why I love photographing weddings. It’s about capturing what’s actually happening, so couples can look back and remember how it really felt 🫶

Putting a face to the name & the camera 👋

Last year I started Fluence Creative – my little business helping small & medium businesses grow online through content, photography and social media strategy 👩‍💻 Now I’ve created this page as a hub for all things photography.

Weddings, families, couples, pets, personal branding, products, interiors… if it involves people, stories or lovely light, I’m usually there snapping away 📸

Fun fact: I studied commercial photography at uni and spent three years working in-house as a Creative Photographer before moving into digital marketing and starting Fluence – so this side of my work has been around for quite a while!

You’ll still find all my business & brand photography over on Fluence Creative (that’s where the strategic content for businesses lives) – in fact all of the portfolio over there is shot by me too.
