So I wanted to grab some images in the poppies, had a field not far, but first needed to get permission from the Farmer. Thankfully I have some super friends who sorted things out and meant I could photograph in the said field. Unfortunately the weather has been temperamental this week, I had my model and horse, my sponsored rider Georgie with Barcelo Barcelo’s Journey To Eventing then I checked the weather Wednesday and it looked not at all great, but I thought I would just wait a bit longer, I did, it still did not look good, there had been downpours, but I decided we would go. It poured on route, I felt like crying, I had got Georgie to drive 45 mins to the location and felt bad. But, once there it started to ease off and the sun came out again! We managed to get some amazing photos in the field and I am so grateful.

Here is one of the images, the lighting was so beautiful on these two, they were amazing 🥰

My portfolio building workshops are about you immersing yourself and putting your skills and knowledge into practice. I provide guidance and suggestions, but photography for me, is about you developing yourself, about using new techniques as well as reliable go to methods. We observe the horses during portrait and movement and you are encouraged to move around and capture the horse from different angles and perspectives, but the key is to showcase their sheer power and form. Your creativity is what defines you and your style.

Saturday morning saw me host another beach workshop with a super group of people. The weather was very changeable, windy and rain was in the air at times, however Pre Hoel and his owner were fantastic and this allowed for some beautiful images to be captured. Hoel’s dapples worked so well with the grey and this in turn provided diffusion to the imagery.

I still have some availability for the Summer. I use both natural and off camera flash with my photography and I will capture exactly what you want, whether you want relaxed images, highly styled or themed, we can achieve these. I can photograph just your horse/s, the family and their horses, wedding dress, prom dress, fantasy, country style and add other animals!
