How does my process start? It starts in the garden taking inspiration from beautiful seasonal flowers. Cut, gathered and brought in to the studio. Arranged and photographed with love and care. Sharing that process with creative like minded guests makes it extra special πŸƒ

Today lovely Emma visited the studio for a day of design and photography πŸƒ we each made a meadow-esque style bowl inspired by the June hedgerow and practised shooting against different backdrops, through buttercups, backlit on a window sill and even in the greenhouse when the sun decided to put in an appearance. Some pretty stems from Sahra’s wild flower patch.

A free weekend to potter around the garden, make this vintage arrangement inspired by the Distant Drums roses blooming away and enjoy dipping in and out of a new book on The art of Antiquing in France by a beautiful resource for anyone who loves brocante shopping and antique hunting. I never return home from a trip France empty handed and my studio is full of characterful treasures and props from books to plates and of course numerous vessels for flowers!

It’s been a beautiful creative day and visited the studio wanting to create more meaningful content with her IPhone. She whipped up this gorgeous vintage style bouquet with flowers from the garden (as well as making another beauty which you can see in my stories) and together we explored how to find the best light, taking less, but capturing more intentionally, exposure, composition and the art of letting the flowers tell the story.
