If big brother or sister doesn’t want to kiss baby’s head, that’s completely fine and a very natural response. This new being has arrived into their world, taken their mummy and daddy’s attention and it’s a big adjustment for them.

There are so many other ways they can show their love and/or curiosity for their new sibling.

Sometimes when you least expect it, they’ll come and engage with baby totally unprompted. That’s when I have to be quick with the button 😥 😆

The majority of my sessions are centred around bumps or babies, which I absolutely adore, but let’s not forget the toddler and preschool years.

A bit less puppy fat and dependence and a whole load more curiosity and personality!

The summer before your no longer baby graduates preschool/nursery and moves onto reception feels like a real bittersweet time but so worthy of celebration. The end of one chapter and the start of another. 🥰

One of my children is away on holiday living her best life with her bestie at the seaside this weekend, leaving us with just two at home.

My lovely home studio had its very own photoshoot this week. I’ve been welcoming clients into this wonderful light filled space for nearly two years so it’s crazy I’ve haven’t made more of a song and dance about it!

“If Carlsberg did photography studios”…ok ok so it doesn’t quite work in this case but you know what I’m trying to say!

Sometimes people worry about having their family pictures taken in a clinical studio setting but I like to think Chez Rachel Fairfield is like a home from home (or maybe better 😆).

There are photography studios and there are photography studios…
