Today’s weather is making me miss summer a little bit 🥹

So I went back to this gorgeous evening with Lily and her boys in the sunflower field.

It was SO warm, the sun was absolutely beautiful, and we had that perfect golden light right until the end. 🌻☀️

Looking at these now, I can almost feel that summer evening again.

I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to summer yet 😬

I have a problem… I get bored of my own studio 😂

And the funny thing is, I LOVED how it looked before. I still do. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it.

But after photographing in the same space over and over again, eventually my brain starts going… what if I move this? What if I take that away? What if I change EVERYTHING? 😬

So that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.

More fabric, more texture, different little corners and a bit more space to change things depending on who I’m photographing. 🤍

And now that I’ve finally finished it… I’m about to take it all apart for Christmas. 😂🎄

Just a little heads up because somehow September is already here 😬

I looked at my diary and realised I hardly have any spaces left for September or October.

September is already packed with all sorts of lovely sessions, and then October brings 4 weddings 😬🤍 plus towards the end of the month, the studio starts turning into Christmas 🎄

I’ll actually be starting work on this year’s Christmas setup very soon and I cannot WAIT to see what I have in my head finally come together 😂

So if you’ve been thinking about booking a maternity, family, cake smash, portrait or any other session with me this autumn — please book in advance. My diary is much fuller than it looks from Instagram 😬

And for my tiniest clients — I’m now taking newborn bookings for babies due in November & December. 🤍

Now, important question…
Colour or black & white?
Because I keep going backwards and forwards between these two 😂

Golden hour, a lace backdrop between the trees, a little picnic setup — and Wiktoria & Sebastian being completely themselves. 🤍

A little bit of posing, a lot of laughing, kissing, running around and simply enjoying each other.

And of course… I couldn’t resist stealing Wiktoria for a few portraits of her own. 😍 Because LOOK AT HER.

I think every small business owner will understand this one 😂

You start a business because you’re good at something you love.

And then somehow you also become the marketing team, content creator, social media manager, designer, accountant, customer service… all at the same time.

And I think that’s the part people don’t always see.

Behind every little business there’s usually one person doing SO much more than the thing you actually know them for.

For me, that thing is photography. 🤍
And after all the reels, captions, emails, planning and everything else… picking up my camera is still the part that makes all of it worth it.

Small business owners… surely it’s not just me? 😂
