One Year on in Lockdown
In Honour of those Lost to Covid-19
What a year we’ve had! So many have lost relatives, friends to the coronavirus and the only way to mourn is to work and grieve at home.
Some have not recovered from the coronavirus with long COVID and it’s absolutely shocking at the devastating affects it brings - my heart and prayers go out to those.
A MASSIVE THANKS to the NHS!!
This is the lovely Siobhan who works for the NHS and her family, who’ve I’ve had the pleasure of photographing previously to this too.
Here are some staff’s reflections of the year past - seeing death after death. Taught to be more supportive and kindness kindness kindness! 15 deaths in 2 weeks than 5 a year normally! You can’t hug, can’t cuddle parents. Social life, personal life is the hardest as you have links with COVID patients. If on own constantly think about work. Let us all try to get support, a social life, and we’re dreaming to be with family and to hug each other.
So much we still don’t know - so much we’ve lost and what’s to come. We can be thankful for the success of the role out of the vaccine and let’s be hopeful for our future.
Celebrations with family and friends to come!
