Here are a few edits of a dramatic view from Crosby Beach yesterday.
The roof of the Crosby Leisure Centre on Mariners Road is the building's defining architectural feature, famously drawing comparisons to a "strange UFO" resting on the dunes due to its sweeping, futuristic appearance.

We flew to Genoa yesterday and have been greeted by a big storm. It’s been very dramatic and welcome really after such a long hot summer. We spent last night in Sestri Levante which is such a beautiful traditional Italian resort. The hotel was positioned between the Baie del Silenzio and Baia della Favole. An ideal base to explore the Italian Riviera.
Onto Riomaggiore today, hoping to see the end of this storm.
I’ve been putting my Italian to the test and so far it’s gone ok.

We flew to Genoa yesterday and have been greeted by a big storm. It’s been very dramatic and welcome really after such a long hot summer. We spent last night in Sestri Levante which is such a beautiful traditional Italian resort. The hotel was positioned between the Baie del Silenzio and Baia della Favole. An ideal base to explore the Italian Riviera.
