Tunerfest North

Oulton Park

Driver Dean Riley, racing his Vauxhall VX220, took a class win and finished second overall in the Super Attack at the Time Attack UK event at Oulton Park. Competing in the Tunerfest North round, he set a personal best lap time of 1:54.5.

Here is how his event unfolded:

Attack 1: Riley showed strong pace, finishing near the top of the timesheets early on.

Attack 2: He maintained his speed in a tightly contested session, with only fractions of a second separating the top drivers.

Super Attack: Riley pushed hard, ultimately taking 2nd place overall and missing out on the top spot by just 0.663 seconds.

Lap Record: His personal best of 1m 54.5s was just 0.7 seconds off his previous class lap record.

Captured during the Preston District Motorcycle Club meeting at Three Sisters Circuit, Wigan, the riders were fully committed through the corners, knee skimming the tarmac as the bikes carved their way towards the exit. Moments like these are exactly why I love motorsport photography—freezing a split second that showcases the precision, speed and determination of the sport.

Smoke filled the air as engines bounced off the limiter, tyres clawing at the tarmac, and every corner became a controlled dance on the edge of grip. The lead car committed first, the chase car following just inches behind, matching every flick, every correction, every burst of throttle. For a few seconds, it was less about racing and more about precision, trust, and style.
