Hope everyone is surviving this heat! ☀️During this time of year, I book sessions either early morning or during golden hour, making sure it's still not too hot, so everyone stays cool and comfortable. Rustyn's mountain sunset session was pure magic. Between the golden light, stunning views and one very photogenic boy, I'd do this session again and again! ✨🐾

Back from a little time away ✨

Life’s been pulling my attention in all directions lately… work, house decorating, pets, more work… attempting a social life… oh, and wedding planning in the mix too!

Even though I stepped back from one thing, everything else kept moving. Taking some time to switch off completely was exactly what I needed! I’m feeling refreshed and ready to get back to it 📸

Spring seems to have wasted no time this year… I left with the garden just starting to bud and came back to what feels like full summer already 🌿 Here are some summer memories with Albert I've not yet shared. 💐

From wagging tails to flowing fins! This is my first time filming underwater life and I’m obsessed 😍 The Aquatic Retailer is a family run business in Gorseinon, Swansea. They are best known for their impressive display tanks and hand picking their marine fish but don’t worry, there is something for everyone with a large variety of species available! 🐡🐠 The Aquatic Retailer

Can a moody location still work with a happy puppy? 😍 Finally creating reels with old content 🫣

Imagine your dog here… 🌿

Surrounded by bluebells, soft light and the quiet of the woods. The season is short, but the memories don’t have to be!

There’s a bit of a 2016 nostalgia trend going around at the moment, so I’ve been thinking about what that year meant for me photography wise.

2016 actually sits at an early point in the creation of my pet photography business. My partner and I had moved from Cardiff (where we were for uni) to Wiltshire the July before. I’d already designed my logo and set up social media by then, but 2016 was my first official year settling into the South West, the year my pet photography business really began to take shape.

That said, the year started with a tragedy. Our 7 month old Bengal kitten, Logan, passed after an operation and losing him slowed everything down, I didn’t create much at all.

Later that year, our snow Bengal, Oliver, came into our lives. With him, my connection to photographing animals began to return. I booked my first few clients which was super exciting, but I also realised that loving photography wasn’t the same as being ready for it.

In 2017 I chose to step back. I spent a year practising, running model calls, learning and rebuilding my process, from first enquiry to final product.

Losing Logan taught me something I still carry with me today. There is no perfect time to photograph the pets we love. No milestone you need to wait for. No age that’s too early or too late.

Looking back, 2016 wasn’t about being polished. It was about understanding why this work matters. And that’s something I’ve never forgotten. ❤

Hello 2026 ✨
I’ve been quite a bit quieter online over the past year while life took centre stage, from moving house and making a new home, our engagement of course✨ Photography has never been far from my mind though. I’m feeling refreshed, inspired and excited to create and share even more memories again this year.

I'm going to start with one of my last sessions before Christmas, an autumn walk with Teddy 🍂🐾 Woodland, warm tones and a very good boy who wasn’t entirely convinced about the camera… but did a brilliant job all the same!
