Just love these classics, reminds me of tearing around my drive & garden on my old mans FZ50🛵. I photographed these super machines with my 1981 Canon AE-1 Program on Kodak Gold 200 film. I love the way film preserves that classic look, and items such as these take us back to times before digital, making us connect without that need for perfection. I love shooting with film, appreciating the time it takes to compose your shot, adjust the camera manually, what once was the latest technology 40yrs ago. 📸❤️🎞️

York!!! what a day, I did over 15,000 steps! but what a great place for the camera.
I am so glad I decided to shoot with film, for these images I used my Canon AE-1 Program and Kodak Gold 200. Shooting from the city walls to capture the grandeur of the Cathedral. These took a little time to compose, getting the aperture small enough to get a good depth of field to cram in all that detail. No modern electronics to help, all manual and getting the focus in the right place for me is what it makes it all worth while. Film truly portrays that wonderful artistic ascetic!!📸❤️🎞️

The beautiful City of York, I was so happy to find a little classic motor cycle display and just look at the Mo-Peds!! I shot these with my Canon AL-1 on Kentmere Pan 200. The Camera which was on the market in 1981, would have been the latest, whilst these old machines would be reaching maturity. What a combination though!! I was caught in between my 50mm & 28mm Lenses, I think my 35mm would have suited perfectly...but me being me, I left that one at home!! Again, film selection, had I used my spider sense, I'd have loaded a 100 ISO film, sadly for me I had 34 frames left on a 200 ISO...Not to worry, what a great day!!

A couple of weeks ago, I shot a Hollywood themed shoot with Alexandra. During the shoot I took my Canon AT-1, a 35mm Film SLR and shot a roll of Ilford FP4 125. I wasn't sure if the camera would work as this was my first time shooting with it. It was a bit of a test as well as a learning curve, the camera being fully manual and I'd never shot with it before. No editing here, these are strait from the negative, across the scanner and onto the iMac. So I set it up for the studio and this it what it gave me..

Who needs a test card when I have Luna, the curious nature of my Chocolate Point Siamese lady! I set up the studio to do a Hollywood Glamour style shoot, then the health & safety manager (Luna) has to do a complete inspection followed by a little rest right where our model will be. And not satisfied with that,😻 she has to get in on the action to!

Been a while...so busy with work, I needed to get some of my own ideas off the pinterest board and into the camera. I'm a little bit of a fan of the classic Hollywood look, it's a tedious lighting set up and can be fussy, working with hard light has its challenges. I was over the moon when Alexandra asked about the Hollywood styling. So we created "To Catch a Starlet".
