The Muddy Freelander annual event really did contain a bit of everything from rain to glorious sunshine. From Discovery to Skoda Yeti with a few Freelander's in the middle 😄.

With Muddy Weekender being on one weekend and the Land Rover Owner Show on the next, we just didn't have the time to put together the main video. But rather than post nothing, here's a selection of clips to show just how varied the weekend was. 😁

While I'm busy working away trying to get something together from the mountains of Muddy Weekender footage. Here's a video from someone else that we got to meet over the weekend.

Absolutely lovely couple and a very nice Freelander 👌. Also a perfect video showing it's not about doing everything, it's about driving within yourself, only doing the bits you feel comfortable in doing and overall having fun! 😁

Just a quick reminder, we will be on the Freelander Adventures and Muddy Freelander stand this weekend at Land Rover Owner Show 2026! 😊

If you want a good look around some Freelander 1's, Freelander 2's or even a off road ready Evoque then head for stands 56, 72a and 72. It's going to be a brilliant weekend to finish off the show season for the year 😁.

Also Andy from AIM4Performance will be on the Freelander Adventures stand so if you're in the market for bigger brakes for your Freelander or Evoque then stop by and see him 😊.

You might have heard people call Freelander 2's hippos or seen it on forums and the likes. Which is quite funny as the Freelander 2 isn't a hippo at all...

Now, everyone can call their Freelander 2 what they like. For most of us it's probably various expletives. 😂 But if you're calling it a Hippo because you think it got that name from Land Rover, you might want to watch this reel...

"Manual Freelander 2's are rubbish at off roading". "You cannot off road in a manual Freelander 2". "If you're going off road, buy an auto". Here's a short video of us off roading our manual Land Rover Freelander 2 showing it can be done slowly and without revving the nuts off of it and riding the clutch. 😊
