It’s very rare that I have to go far to see planes i want to see. Very rare. For reasons I’m unaware of, Blackcat809 used my local today for a good few hours. Unfortunately it was very stormy in places so my hope of lots of circuits never materialised. Is what it is.

Still, very good to see a big bird 7 minutes drive from my house 🙌🏻

Phoenix from the Ashes. Dragon68 - 80-1099 - BB

18 years ago this very airframe had a devastating ground accident which severely damaged it. Today was its first international flight since repair and rebuild. What a 🐐

Watch towards the end as the chase car and pogo truck catch up with the Dragon Lady 🇺🇸

One of life’s best pleasures is travelling with the wind in your hair, or on your head (if you have no hair). These crew members have the right idea and are chilling on the rear ramp of this C-130 Hercules which had recently arrived at RAF Fairford from Ramstein Air Base.

Love the ‘super base’ at the moment 👏🏻
