A little different to be sharing this with you today. It’s more of a journaling post, what I’ve been thinking and feeling. And how, as a wedding photographer, I never want to be static, and crave constant creativity.

Jennifer & Carol came from Boston Massachusetts to visit Chatsworth House in Derbyshire… well, more than just to visit it.

Jennifer had planned for months the place where she would propose to Carol, and knowing how much she adores Pride & Prejudice there could be no other place than this one.

An afternoon spent with these two filled my cup to the brim.

“Reader, I married him.”

Jane Eyre inspired creative portraits.

A novel I love dearly and have always wondered about how to tell the story through photographs.
SIDE NOTE: I have always wanted to do a portrait session based on the friendship between Jane and Helen (anybody want to come and play for this one let me know).

But this session was about the love story between Jane Eyre and Edward Fairfax Rochester.

I picked three themes to focus in on and have shared with you my ideas, reasoning behind what I have done and will leave the space open for you to freely comment. Share thoughts, ideas on what you would have done differently, or simply to let me know you are also in the Jane Eyre fan club.

The Scene: Eyam Hall, Derbyshire.
The Synopsis: Alicia & Kevin, young and madly in love but a one way ticket to Australia for 2 years could have put the breaks on a budding relationship. It could have… but Kevin quit his job and they’ve been together everyday since.
The Wedding: How Alicia & Kevin chose to celebrate was close to home, favourite people around them, no trends (unless you count the bridesmaids doing a video in the morning), just good food & drink, music and the people they invited to celebrate it with all within the grounds of the beautiful Eyam Hall.
All of our favourite days become our favourite stories to tell, and it is always a privilege to document.
