One thing I really wish we talked about more in the photography world is how unpredictable newborn sessions actually are.

​I think social media makes everyone think it’s always:

• Perfectly sleepy babies

• Instant, flawless posing

• And those seamless, "Pinterest perfect" setups.

​But behind the scenes? Real newborn sessions are a beautifully chaotic mix of feeding breaks, extra cuddles, winding, settling, endless nappy changes... and yeah, occasionally getting peed on. It’s just part of the job! 😭😂

Every single baby is totally different. Some will sleep deeply the whole time, while others stay wide awake to watch everything we do. Some love being wrapped up cozy, and some just want to be held.

​No two sessions are ever the same, and that’s exactly what makes them so special.
