Silent flight through the last light of the day, watching a barn owl skim low across the meadow never gets old.

While most birds stick to twigs and moss, these elegant raptors are famous for decorating their nests with all sorts of oddities—from sheep’s wool and crisp packets to gloves and even the occasional tea towel.

It’s hard to believe these birds were once nearly extinct in the UK. Today, they are a true conservation success story, effortlessly gliding over our countryside once again!

I could never have imagined coming across a barn owl quite like this, even though I was looking on this particular evening, it was 20 minutes before sunset, light was fading fast and my lens isn't particularly built for low light, but I thought I'd try one last area and boom!!

Even though they're not the Sharpest, it literally flew towards me as I stopped the car. I then proceeded to watch, in silence as the silent hunter circled it's territory , dived for food and fought of other birds of prey and delivered the food back to its barn. An incredible experience and if I don't witness it again, one I'll remember.

More photos to come but these were the first few. Let me know what you think and if you've ever managed to witness the barn owl do it's thing?

A few red kites to start the day.

Majestic birds to watch when hunting, and one we can easily see soaring high above, circling for prey.

But did you know towards the end of the 19th century, they were almost extinct in the UK with only a handful of pairs left in Wales. Thankfully, reintroduction projects supported by the helped increase numbers by over a staggering 2,000 percent! Hopefully around for many years to come.

Not the Sharpest of images I know, but I wanted to share regardless and I'm working to improve. Any tips and pointers welcome but in the meantime enjoy.

First time at a event, so thought I would dive straight in and photograph the new team in town. What an event, some brilliant racing, cars and drivers on show.

I'll slowly be working my way through the rest of the images, but firstly here's .32 and .racing at the first weekend as a team. Got to be said, personally I think it's the nicest livery on track this season, what are your thoughts?
