My first post in a while as I’ve been enjoying a summer off with the boy, having fun and preparing for his first week in school (how did that happen already?!) 📚

I’ve still been keeping busy, and my brand book is out with a couple of local businesses and we are working towards finalising their shoots. I’ve also created some images for a business which has launched in the last week so will share some of these images with you soon.

I had a few new followers so thought I would pop on here and say hi and share a little bit about me 😊

🙋🏻‍♀️I’m Kate, a mum, photographer and marketing person

📷 I’ve been interested in photography for the last 10 years, and that interest grew when I had my little boy and I started capturing memories and milestones. From this I completed my newborn photography training and set up

📸 During lockdown I discovered brand photography, which enables me to use my love of photography and all things marketing to help business owners step out from behind their logos and feel confident to feature as the face and voice of their business and brand. How? By creating a bespoke set of images which can be used to help showcase your business and brand values and will dramatically reduce the amount of time you spend wondering about what to post and what picture you can use (especially if it’s not a hair wash day, I’m not the only one who thinks this am I?!)

👩🏻 I really believe that people buy from people, so this approach can really help you connect with your customers new and old. In the spirit of sharing more, a random fact about me is that I’m scared of pigeons 🐦, especially in large groups so Trafalgar Square is a complete no no for me!!

I've been working on a new branding project, which has gone back to basics, and focused on developing the brand vision and values before we move onto the photos.
It's been a really good project for me, especially during lockdown, where photoshoots were not an option, and has enabled me to use my marketing skills (my day job for more years than I want to count!) More to come on this soon, but just thought I'd share this testimonial as I plan the photoshoot phase!

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet recently! It’s been a busy time with my day job, creating some lovely Christmas images for my Little Personality Photography clients and creating Christmas magic for the boy 😊 Despite everything happing we’ve had fun and made memories. As we enter Tier 4 things are going to be harder again, I won’t lie I’m disappointed I’m missing some of our usual traditions over the next week but there is always next year 🤞Time to start making lists and getting organised which always sets me off on the right path!

A brand photography shoot really helps to tell your story, as the images can help you show your local community what you can do for them.

I really enjoyed meeting Janet and her team at the Stride Clinic and doing their shoot, and it’s great starting to see the images being used on their website and social media.

I’ve had a busy week talking to new clients.

It’s great to see people taking your suggestions on board to really start focusing on their marketing, and even better to see their engagement improving!

A key theme this week has been time. Finding time to post on social media, knowing what to post and having the right image to support your message so it resonates with your ideal client so they engage with you. I've enjoyed photography since getting my first digital SLR camera and enrolling on a course to help me understand how to take better images. In 2017 my amazing baby boy came into my life, and I was able to translate this passion into taking photos of him, which capture our fun times and memories of him growing up, all of which capture his personality and zest for life and learning. (This is a picture of us this weekend, on a muddy pumpkin adventure, with the camera in hand to record the best bits!)

I wanted to be able to do this for other parents, so after undertaking training with some of the best newborn photographers and trainers, Little Personality Photography by Kate came to be.

Now it's time for the next stage of my journey as a photographer, so I'm taking the knowledge and passion for creating images, plus 20ish years working in Marketing into brand photography. I'm going to be working with local businesses and entrepreneurs to share their brand personality with the community and help them to achieve their Marketing and growth aspirations by providing bespoke unique images which speak to their ideal client and take some of the Marketing pressure away! I can't wait to get started and help some great new clients and get my creative brain fired up!
