What an incredible night last night for Z O E U N S W O R T H EP launch at The Deaf Institute
The usual high energy bopping around performance for Zoe and if she was nervous she wasn’t showing it
Starting the show off with “Solo” then “Beauty queen” before throwing in a cover of Riley Greens “You look like you love me” (I don’t know if she mentioned it 🤣 but she may have sang it with Riley when he was over on tour in manc)
Then into “Colide” and “Take me Home”
Before another cover , this time Ella Langley with “It wasn’t god who made h***y tonk angels where she was joined by Susannah Clegg and her fiddle player
(side note I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people on a tiny stage before)
She then got on keyboard duties to sing “Daisy” before being joined again on stage , this time by her dad Ray where they both sang a cover of Elivis “Welcome to my world”
Before she then sang a brand new song “Yours”, it was then in to the back half of the set with the songs
“Here for the party” “Playing your game” “Tell tale” “Bless your heart” “Old time soul” and then rounding out the setlist with “On the dance floor”
And then after plenty of cheers and hollers of one more song decided to do an inpromptu final cover of Dolly Parton “9 to 5”
Then just like that it was over in what seemed like no time
A great night and special show by an awesome amazing independent artist doing it all on her own
And a final shout out to the band that they managed to show horn onto the stage which was an organisational feat in its self
If you haven’t seen her before definitely make sure you check Zoe out , go stream her music (and new EP) , pick a copy up in person and support the hell out of her !
