EWE ON THE MOVE 🐑

1st vaccine done for the lambs, protecting them from some nasty diseases and thanks to a perfect team, this went seamlessly

Twins have now all moved home and the singles will move to new grass in a couple of weeks

Lambs are growing well and enjoying the sun on their backs ☀️

SCANNING 2025

Extremely pleased with this years scanning. Super Stacey came with her magic set up and the ewes mostly behaved for their appointment

We are still building our flock so new young additions aren’t meant to scan as well but results are just over 160% which we are chuffed with

Lambing is due mid February and we are looking forward to opening the gates to let you meet our lambs once they are here! Watch this space for open day updates ❤️

HERBAL LEY DAY 🍃

Today we hosted for for their Seed To Feed roadshow

Farmers came from all over to learn about varieties of herbs and grasses, their pros and cons how to establish them and how to fix issues in their own set up

Speaking to other farmers and letting them share their triumphs and frustrations was very grounding with everyone feeling they weren’t ’alone’ in their problems

Lots of technicals were talked through with Liz Genever and Ben Rogers in the barn as we designed our ideal Herbal Ley mixes before going on a farm walk and looked at soil health and root structure with top tips for establishment

Ewan from AQM spoke with us in our introduction about our business model and how it has changed during the last couple of years our shared his insights into working with us to source our mixes from Barenbrug

A very interesting day with lots learnt and things to improve on!
