Have you heard about the new proposed changes to weddings in England and Wales?… 👀

Currently to get married in England and wales it has to be under a permanent licensed structure and by a specific person (eg. registrar/vicar). The government is looking to change the law so weddings are more ‘person-led’. The person would be licensed rather than the venue!

So in a nutshell this means:

🌿 More flexibility on where you get married
🤍 Legally recognised celebrant weddings
🏡 More venue options, including meaningful personal locations
✨ Ceremonies that feel more like YOU

As someone who spends every weekend at weddings, I am very interested to see where this goes!!

Imagine being able to legally marry in a place that’s genuinely special to you, rather than somewhere chosen because the paperwork says so.

Things worth I think are worth the money as a wedding photographer

✨ Paper confetti - if you want that flutter magic, get paper and get loads!

✨ Flowers - florists are unbelievably talented, a real flower display can elevate a space like nothing else

✨ Good food - think about when you’ve been a guest, what does everyone ask… what was the food like?

✨ Blister plasters - essential part of my kit, you don’t want sore feet on your wedding day - either of you!

✨ A professional wedding photographer - investing in your vision is always worth it
