A truly scrumptious day at Beaulieu

Getting to ride behind the one and only Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was definitely a fantasmagorical experience.

There really is nothing quite like seeing this iconic motorcar come to life and hearing that engine rumble as you’re riding along behind her.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, we love you

Many thanks to our driver Simon who was so knowledgeable and made the experience even better than it could have been with all the information he knew and with how friendly he was, a real credit to the team at Beaulieu

The sound of a scammel working is just something else. Here is a Scammell Highwayman owned by Dorset Heavy Horse Farm towing the brayshaw living wagon from the exhibitor camping to the showground to be displayed at Dorset Tractor Fest

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for all the support lately.

I thought it was about time I re-introduced myself properly to everyone following along on my steam adventures as i've had quite a lot of new followers recently

My name is Annabel, and I have a lifelong passion for all things steam, heritage railways and the countryside. If there’s a steam rally, country show, heritage railway or vintage vehicle event happening, there’s a good chance you’ll find me there with a camera in hand.

Steam isn’t just a hobby for me , it’s a big part of my everyday life. I work on both a heritage railway and a miniature railway, taking on roles that from range from guarding, ticket inspecting to even being an engine cleaner. Being able to help preserve and share railway history is something I never take for granted.

Photography is another passion of mine, and this account is where I share the locomotives, traction engines, steam rollers, rallies and vintage vechicle moments that make these events so special.

Some of my favourite things to photograph are:
• Steam locomotives
• Traction engines
• Steam rollers
• Vintage vehicles
• Heritage railway life
• The British countryside

Thank you for following my journey and sharing my love of steam. I’d love to know what brought you to this page and what your favourite steam engine or vintage vehicle is.
