With my little eye ... I spy something beginning with "S"
Yes it's .... Spring 🌷
It is always a really wonderful time of year as nature wakes from the winter with amazing resilience and the wonder of renewal.
However to be honest it is far more than this for me personally, because two weeks ago I underwent an emergency eye operation for a detached retina, after losing pretty much all my sight in my right eye.
These are the first pictures I have taken since this operation using my one remaining good eye. Which is my left and definitely not the one I have every used before for photography. It is certainly awkward but clearly possible to still manually focus this way which is a great relief.
It has, as you can imagine, made me reconsider what I am doing with the direction of my life especially when there is a high risk of this reoccurring including with my remaining good eye.
You will certainly therefore see fewer posts from me in the future, as one of the positives of this is I haven't spent the usual many hours on social media, and although this was due to having to remain prone for the first 7 days, making that almost impossible, it actually felt very good to not be here.
As for the direction of my photography that is still undecided but I am not looking to book anymore business at present, but will fulfill what I have already committed to.
