What an amazing teeny tiny perfectly formed wedding ✨✨✨✨✨
Humanist Society Scotland Ceremonies
When Kerry & Dougie first got in touch with us back in January 2025, their wedding day at The Harbour Chapel felt like it was a lifetime away… but some things are worth waiting for. ❤️
From the moment we met them, it was clear they were a couple full of energy, warmth and kindness, the kind of people who make everyone around them smile. And when their elopement day finally arrived, it was every bit as special as we hoped it would be.
Of course, like many wedding stories, the morning didn’t go entirely to plan…
A last-minute change meant Kerry was suddenly without her hair and make-up artist, and in the rush to get everything back on track, her beautiful flowers were accidentally left behind at home.
But that’s the thing about wedding days, sometimes the most memorable moments come from the unexpected ones.
With quick thinking, a little teamwork and a determination not to let anything steal the joy of the day, Claire Watt (Humanist Celebrant) and our Victoria jumped into action. A dash to the local shops, a little creativity, and a clever use of what we had to hand (including a quick rummage at the bottom of a backpack!) meant Kerry had a beautiful bouquet and Dougie a buttonhole ready just in time.
And then… everything fell into place.
A heartfelt ceremony, a room full of love, and a reminder that the most important part of any wedding isn’t perfection, it’s the people, the promises, and the memories created along the way.
We were so honoured to be part of Kerry & Dougie’s day, and their kind words mean the world: "We could not ask for a better person or place to be married. You all went above and beyond." - Dougie & Kerrie 🥰
A little bit of chaos, a lot of love, and a day that was absolutely perfect in every way. ✨ Claire Watt Humanist Celebrant
