I saw a recipe to make a sweet potato and chocolate dessert, which I thought looked interesting.

I had a sweet potato in the fridge for a few days and I was desperate to try it. I landed up just grabbing some chocolate without looking at the recipe ingredients and just decided to go ahead regardless.

I steamed the sweet potato till soft and mashed it. I melted the chocolate in a glass dish and then added the sweet potato. Mixed together and then placed in the fridge for a few hours to harden.

Wow. This is the best chocolate mousse I have tried. It might be because of the chocolate I bought - Green and blacks organic 70% dark chocolate. But, it's worth it.

St Bridget's Kirk - Dalgety Bay

This old church sits on the waters edge at Dalgetty Bay. It dates back to the 1100's. There is a small staircase leading to an upper level which offers beautiful views across the water towards Edinburgh on the left and the 3 bridges on the right.

There are many gravestones dated in the 1600's.

We arrived late in the afternoon and spent some time reading the gravestones and looking at the stone carvings. There is a path that runs along the waters edge, which we took for a stroll.

When walking around these old buildings I like to imagine the people who would have lived there back in those times. How their lives would be so different from the lives we live now. It was dusk when we returned to the church and whilst I stood at the window watching the water I had my photo taken. It came out a blur, unlike every other photo taken. I love this photo. I made me feel I belong there, in the church. I am part of the energy that remains.

This is a special quiche. 🤗

I have been making quiches for Mr Fish for about 2 years and quite often I make one for Mr Fish's mum. Her sister asked me about the quiche last week as she had heard about them. I showed her some photos and introduced her to this page.

I made this quiche for her and wrapped it best I could, using some cardboard for the base and wrapped it in parchment paper then cling film for transportation.

I await her verdict in the following days 🥰😃
