LIFEBOAT LAUNCHED twice yesterday (29 August):
🎣 1.02pm: Two adults angling from rocks, cut off by the tide on Leckenbane, Milsey Bay.

🚸 5.30pm: Two children cut off by the tide on the Leithies.

If you're heading out on the coast, always check the local tide times.

If you're on rocks with seaweed and barnacles, these will get covered when the tide comes in, keep an eye on your escape route.

If you're cut off by the tide, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard and await rescue.

Do not enter the water to swim or wade to safety; water depths can vary and tidal currents can be surprisingly strong.

If you're angling from rocks consider wearing a lifejacket.

North Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team also in attendance.

Can you help Evie's Batten Journey ?

Carer required.

Carer required:
With all of Evie’s changes over the last few months we are looking for a second carer. At the moment it wouldn’t be set hours as we try and work out when we need help the most and would be looking for someone that could be flexible. If anyone would be interested in spending some time with Evie then please get in touch. She really is the most lovely girl to spend time with. She loves to smile and chuckle and loves silliness. She likes to go for little walks round the street, listen to music and stories and play with her babies.

Don’t forget! Saving Lives At Sea returns to our screens tonight at 8pm.

A great opportunity to re-share my film from a joint exercise between RNLI North Berwick Lifeboat (featuring on tonight’s episode) and RNLI Dunbar Lifeboats from earlier this year.

Pleased to say that my “Father and Son Lejog 2026” charity cycle challenge film is now posted on YouTube.

The film starts off with this interview that we did, at Lands End, on our rest day. You can watch the full film - link in the bio.

I am so proud of both and Arran on their achievement and especially so for, Finlay, having taken up cycling about six months beforehand.

The lads have raised a fantastic £5,790 (with gift aid still to be added) for as well as awareness of the charity.

A huge thanks to family, friends and all our supporters.

Sadly, no fly past by this evening of the but the good news is that there will be a C-17 Globemaster and 2 Typhoons in their place.

Wishing the Red Arrows and their team, safe passage back from Canada when the weather allows.

Here is my video from last year.
