When couples tell me they want "getting ready photos", they're often thinking about the dress, the flowers and the finishing touches.
And yes, I capture every one of those.
But I never forget the groom either.
His best man struggling with a tie.
Dad quietly adjusting a buttonhole.
The nervous laughter before it's time to leave.
The final cheers with the lads.
The watch that was a gift.
The cufflinks chosen months before.
The moment he catches himself in the mirror and realises...
**Today's the day.**
These aren't just photographs of people getting dressed.
They're photographs of anticipation.
Of excitement.
Of nerves.
Of the people who've stood beside you long before your wedding day and are there to help you begin your next chapter.
By the end of the day, the flowers will have wilted, the champagne glasses will be empty and the outfits carefully packed away.
But these moments?
They're gone forever unless someone is there to notice them.
That's why I photograph the little things.
Because years from now, they won't feel little at all.
