She found a gap nobody else saw, right at the front, hidden behind a chair, and watched her mum and dad get married by North East Celebrant - Gemma Jay at Exclusive Northumberland Wedding Venue💍

No guest saw it happen. We did.

That’s fifteen years of knowing where to stand, and being ready for anything. 🐆

Most of our day is spent catching candid moments, the true essence of a wedding day which is why we always like to plan ahead and make sure there is time for these moments to breathe, we keep shot lists small and never take direction from a Pinterest mood board.

Behind the scenes at with Georgia and Alex.

Another trip into the heart of Northumberland to a venue we’ve paid many visits to this year, this time we had the amazing Georgia and Alex, as soon as we walked through the door for bridal prep you could feel the excitement from her and the bridesquad, and once the ceremony was over it escalated with the 500 cocktails they put on! 😅 - such a lush day with everyone - check out how it all went down 👀👀👀

A magazine photo looks good for a season, a proper memory looks good forever.

So instead of picking the shiniest, most “magazine worthy” images to show off, or the usual supplier-tag shots, we let a machine choose, 20 random numbers, 20 random slices from Katherine and Michael’s wedding day.

No cherry-picking, just what actually happened, the kind of images that make you want to linger, and linger long enough to ask yourself “why is that woman on the dancefloor holding knitting needles?!”

Behind the scenes at with Brandon and Caitlin.

Whewee- we knew this day would be amazing, and it was, pretty much like turning up at a friends wedding, we’ve shot Caitlin before when we were her sisters wedding photographer, they made the day their own, surrounded family and friends all ready to bring fun and excitement to the day.

It’s so lush to be a part of a families memories in the way that we are, creating memory tokens for them to remember forever, we say it all the time but we really do have the best job!

We worked with to create all the memories of the day using the grounds to their full.

Hollie & Ben - the wedding that started the heat wave.

It’s been quite funny being at Healey Barn 4 times so far this year after not being there since 2022, and every wedding has given us something different, apart from the weather, they’ve all been scorchers, there must be so many sausages buried round there.

These folks were full of energy, the good kind, it was all excitement, you can just tell that Hollie has been eagerly waiting for the day to arrive, we had such a great laugh and we cant wait for them to see the full day again.

We got to work with RG MEMORIES PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY who were on video duties for this one, we worked together all day making sure we captured what we needed whilst also working together to keep things moving, this is the perfect way for us to work where we all capture something at the same time, no ‘do-overs’ which means those portrait parts take much less time, it’s so important to pick the right media team in this respect as we are all totally different!

So many great suppliers for this one, the music for the whole day was flawless, check everyone out below - the day unfolded exactly how all weddings should, with the couple and their families having THE best time!

Finders keepers.

You never know what may happen on a wedding day, the best thing to do is just being open to what the day offers, maybe the best moments happen when you let go of all the plans and sink loads of wine?

We’ve been doing this for a long time, we make plans and timelines but we know how a day can take a detour, and we love a side quest.

This one wasn’t on the shot list.

Last weekends weddings were all absolutely feral - actually most of our weddings are, we love that, there’s something about feeling comfortable enough to be free to do what you want to do in front of a ‘strangers’ camera, no matter how outside of wedding etiquette that may be.

This shot was at the end of the night with a bottle of VERY rare wine, the shot cost the dress 2 buttons, but .mariex wasn’t going to let that stop her!

North East husband and wife team, fifteen years in, we’ve seen most things by now (surely!) - this was a good one!

These guys saw us posting on Newton halls feed, which is exactly why we share what we do all the time, it’s a great way for you to see what we do and how we do it, if you don’t like it at least you know before you book us, if you do like it then we will absolutely be no different on your wedding day, we believe in marketing ourselves honestly and it is incredibly effective! 🤩

Jess and Harry trusted us on their day, we guided them through their day making sure all the photo plans we made together were lived out, photography is such an important part of remembering the day but the whole day shouldn’t be about the photos for anyone except us! 😊

Thanks again to all the venue staff for helping us out for this day which had its own challenges for us, the whole day had such a beautiful vibe and we are so happy that the couple had the BEST day! ❤️❤️❤️
