From engagement shoot to epic wedding, it was a real pleasure to capture Rebecca and Will’s love last year.

Today is their first wedding anniversary, and what a day to remember to celebrate! An incredible church wedding ceremony at Hexham Abbey followed by reception at Queen Elizabeth High School Winter Gardens, in Hexham, all with a loved up couple at the centre.

A slightly belated Happy Anniversary to the lovely Natasha & Jordan!

This was my first visit to Saltmarshe Hall and I would love to go back, it was a stunner of a venue! And how incredible were they for their couple shots?

This part of the wedding day is so lovely, a really intimate and beautiful moment for you two to just be - and I just happen to be there with my camera!

When booking a location shoot, I’m often asked “what if it rains?”

Because, let’s face it, the British weather doesn’t always play ball.

So to mitigate this, I always book in a second date as a backup in case of bad weather (wind or rain!) or child illness because as a mum I know these things happen too!

A family shoot can be daunting for parents - and not just because it means getting in front of the camera.

Making sure everyone is on their best form is a tricky thing to manage, but my advice (after years of location shoots!) is make an evening of it.

I push for a late afternoon shoots anyway as it means the summer light is at its very best, so why not bring a picnic tea for the beach beforehand, snacks for the car and make a real event of it.

That way, you’re more likely to get everyone on side!

She listened to what we wanted, was able to put us at ease and help up create the plan for the perfect day and when that day arrived it felt more like having a friend there beside us … As for the photos, they are just perfect, so natural, I look at them and it transports me back to the day, not forced or too organised and posed just organic and creative resulting in perfection.”
