Wreath season is just around the corner 🍂

And before we know it, feeds are going to be FULL of them.

So over the next week, I’m sharing some of my favourite tips for styling + photographing your wreaths — from backdrops and lighting to angles and those little details that make all the difference.

Florists, makers & wreath creators, this one’s for you.

If you want the tips, drop me a 👍 below so I know you’re interested.

Keep your eyes peeled… 👀

If the legend herself, Dolly Parton, said it… then you KNOW it’s 100% true.

September is a BIG month for Blueberry Backdrops (and for me!).

I’m launching memberships.
I’m launching my 1:1 Creative Sessions.
I’m hosting my first ever live webinar.

And if I’m completely truthful… I’m excited, overwhelmed, stressed and VERY nervous in pretty much equal measure.

But I keep coming back to this:

Being brave isn’t about not being scared. It’s being scared and doing it anyway.

So that’s what I’m doing.

Giving things a try. Putting myself out there. Seeing what happens.

Could I fall flat on my face? Absolutely.
# back up and try something else.

And instead of constantly asking myself, “What’s the worst that could happen?”…

I’m trying to ask:

What’s the BEST that could happen?

So here’s to September. Let’s see what happens.

September mode: ON 🍂

And quite frankly, these next few months are THE BEST.

Halloween 🎃
Bonfire Night 🔥
Cosy clothes
Cosy fires
Cosy drinks ☕️
Cosy bakes 🍰
Dark evenings
Autumn walks
And absolutely no pressure to “make the most of the sunshine” 😂

I am ALL here for it.

Anyone else feel like September is when the best bit of the year officially begins? 🍁

Q4 is nearly here, so let’s get your product photos sorted 🙌🙌

👉On September 11th at 10:30 AM, we’re hosting our first live Zoom session: Nailing Your Photos for Q4.

I’ll take you through the essential shots your product business needs for the season, plus how to adapt them to what you sell — whether that’s jewellery, candles, beauty products, homeware, or something else.

It’s an interactive session, so you’ll also have the chance to ask questions and get advice specific to your products.

To join, just comment READY and follow the steps.

Summer always feels like a bit of a creative slog for me.

Business is quieter, the kids are off, I’m juggling approximately 475 things at once 😂 and somehow there’s just no space left in my brain to be creative.

And I’ve learnt that when I feel like that, sitting at my desk trying to force an idea usually gets me absolutely nowhere.

So I go to London.

I lived there for just over 10 years and I still absolutely love it. Every borough, every street, every little pocket feels completely different. There’s always something to look at, something happening, something that sparks an idea.

This time it was the Young V&A, the Science Museum, wandering around Covent Garden, drinking coffee and just taking it all in.

And it was exactly what I needed.

Sometimes creativity doesn’t need to be forced. Sometimes you just need to get out, look around and give your brain something new to work with.

What do you do when you’re in a creative rut? I’d genuinely love to know. 👇

Elisa De Cecchi was one of the first food photographers I fell in love with when I started Blueberry Backdrops a few years ago. I was so honoured that she used some of our backdrops in a few of her stunning shots. Our Nectar and Patina backdrops are making an appearance here 😊 An inspirational account to definitely follow ❤️
