What's your favourite football memory?

The one that instantly takes you back.

A match.
A goal.
A player.
A tournament.
Watching with your dad.
Playing on the school field.
That one shirt you practically lived in.

Mine is going to Carrow Road when Liverpool were visiting and being surprised with tickets for the game.. and my sister getting her leg stuck down the back of the seat and crying so loud you could hear her over the cheering!!

I don't usually share the behind the scenes images from the "In The Box" sessions... I share the videos and timelapses, but not images. When I tell you.. You may be the one scrolling through Facebook or Instagram, looking for a photographer whose work you love. You're the one trying to co-ordinate outfits, persuade everyone to get ready on time, and hoping the children will at least look in roughly the right direction!

But I firmly believe these photographs aren't really for you.

They're not even for the family members who receive them as gifts.

They're for your children.

And one day, they're for your children's children.

They're for the moments years from now when your grandchildren climb onto your lap and ask, "What was my mummy like when she was little?"

They're for showing them how you laughed together, how you played on the beach, splashed in the sea, cuddled up close, and enjoyed the simple moments that felt so ordinary at the time.

Because one day, these photographs won't just be pictures.

They'll be part of your family's story.

No, these "In the Box" Portraits aren't AI! Just a little Photoshop magic and a whole lot of patience! These Splash sessions are a great alternative to the traditional Cake Smash portraits for a 1st birthday.. just sayin!!

My daughter starts high school this year and I'm not okay.
And that's ok!
I am sure that she will do well, she will thrive, make new friends and her confidence will bloom.
But she will always be my youngest, my baby and I'm not dealing very well with the idea that she doesn't need me like she used to.

Just 1 week to go until the start of my year 6 Leavers project!
I have been asked so many times why I am doing these portraits for free, the simple answer is that I am not coping very well with the idea of Grace going up to high school and this is my way of dealing with it.
Photography has always been one of my love languages and this is how I show appreciation, how I share the love and happiness that I have to bring.
I can't wait to meet all of these wonderful families and photograph this important milestone ###
