Gallery Evening at Lowestoft Photographic Club, Wednesday, 14th October 2026, 7:30 pm. Bring Images and Prints for Feedback and Discussion.

Some photos are polite little darlings. They sit quietly on a screen and behave themselves. Others raise their hand and shout, “I could be brilliant, but I need a tiny bit of help.” That’s exactly where a Gallery Evening earns its keep.

We’re excited to invite you to Lowestoft Photographic Club on Wednesday 23 September 2026 at 7.30 pm for “From Camera Newcomer to FIA‑Accredited F1 Photographer — An evening with Ian Bundey.”

Ian’s story is honest and encouraging: in 2021 he didn’t even own a camera, and a few years later he was photographing Grands Prix for international media. He’ll walk us through the full journey — how he started, the setbacks, the learning curve, and what it’s really like working inside the F1 paddock. Expect practical takeaways on timing, anticipation, editing under pressure, and building confidence and contacts.

This evening isn’t just for motorsport fans. Whether you shoot sport, wildlife, events, weddings or street photography, Ian’s lessons on preparation, working fast and delivering under tight deadlines will be useful. Bring your questions and curiosity.

Venue: Trinity Methodist Church, High Street, Lowestoft NR32 4HU
When: Wednesday 23 September 2026, 7.30 pm

If you’re in Lowestoft, Oulton Broad, Carlton Colville, Kessingland, Bradwell, Belton, Gorleston or the nearby villages and you’ve ever thought about joining a club or learning from other photographers, this is a great night to come along. We meet each Wednesday from September to May and would love to see new faces.
£5 for non-members.

Join us this coming Wednesday, 9th September, for our second meeting on the 2026-2027 programme.
Some photographs deserve more than a quick glance on a phone screen. They need a room, a cup of tea nearby, and a few friendly people asking, “How did you get that light?” or “Was the gull really that close?”

A fresh club season deserves a strong first night, and Lowestoft Photographic Club has picked a cracking way to start.

The club opens its 2026 to 2027 season on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 at 7.30 pm with a visit from Kevin Sawford, who will present 20 nature photography projects throughout the year. It’s a great fit for the first evening back, especially for photographers who like having something practical to shoot in every season, not just when the weather behaves.
