Save this before you book your next brand shoot 📸

These are the questions I wish someone had told me to ask on my first photoshoot, because not every photographer is going to make you feel like yourself on camera, and the last thing you want is to spend money on photos you hate and never use.

Your brand photos should feel like you, your personality, your offers, your energy.

And the right photographer will do the work to get you there long before you show up on shoot day.

Drop a 💛 below if you’d love photos taken somewhere that makes you feel calm, comfortable and in a space that makes you feel soooo YOU!

Too many women in business have a photoshoot and walk away feeling like the photos just don’t capture them. The photos have no feeling to them. Their personality, their warmth, smile, the way a friend would describe their energy.

So instead of having a website and content that makes people instantly feel their shoulders drop, and feel you’re finally the person they’ve been searching for and not hesitate to buy. They convince themselves they’re not photogenic, vow to never have a photoshoot again or even show up in their content. They ghost their own business, take all the joy out of connecting with their followers and sales never increase past word of mouth.

But I’m here to tell you…you are photogenic.

You can have photos you love, that look and FEEL like you, that shows your personality at first glance and a headshot that does the introduction for you before you’ve said a single word.

Here’s where to start 👇🏼

1. Choose a location that actually feels like you, a setting you’d actually choose to spend time in. Somewhere your nervous system can feel calm, your shoulders relax and your personality feels safe to be seen.

2. Tell your photographer who you are before the shoot. What your interests, values, hobbies and quirks. What makes you, you! A good photographer isn’t just there to take photos, they’re there to make you feel comfortable to be yourself and love the experience of seeing how magnetic you are when you’re fully yourself.

3. Bring something that’s yours. A prop, a piece of jewellery, that jacket you love and feel confident in. Something that tells your story without words. The details are what make people get you know you beyond the headshot.

Comment PHOTOS for the link to my personality brand photoshoots, and finally have photos you’re proud to post without ever setting foot in a studio.

If I could go back to the beginning, here’s what I wish I’d known to make my website actually convert to sales.

The reality is,we need to show our personality in our business. You are your brand. Your life, your values, your style, your interests.

We follow and buy from people because we see something in them that we want. Simple as that.

So the more you can show who you really are, no shying away, no pretending. The more you’ll connect, and the more successful you’ll be.

You’re allowed to be quirky. You’re allowed to be different. In fact, the more you are, the better.

I know that going all in on visibility and owning your style will bring you the most joy, fun and freedom. As uncomfortable as it is to be fully seen and known.

So if you’re finally ready to build a business that reflects all of you to create more ease and flow by drawing your most aligned clients straight to you…

Comment PHOTOS to book a personality-first brand photoshoot, so your website can start converting into sales just by you being YOU.

This is for the woman who doesn’t want sterile white studio brand photos.

You’re not looking for something rushed, trend-driven, or that looks the same as everyone else’s.

You want something that feels rooted, real, and completely like you.

A space you feel comfortable, nervous system calm, so your personality can shine through.

That’s exactly why I photograph on location, in spaces that reflect the season, that are real, natural and earthy.

Every session is created with intention, thoughtful locations, and care that honours where you are in your business right now.

No two galleries are identical and that’s the point.

If you’ve been looking for brand photos that actually feel like you, this might be it.

Comment DATES for availability this summer.

WHY THEY’RE NOT TELLING YOU a photoshoot should be more than just a pretty headshot.

Mostly? Because people don’t know to ask OR the photographer hasn’t thought through what you need to make the photos work for your whole business and convert to sales.

The reality is, when you invest in a photoshoot it should be more than just headshots. YES, they are really important, they make your business look established and trustworthy. But they need to work harder for you than just updating your profile pic.

It’s what elite brands do so well, and what brings in large volumes of sales. They tell a story, a feeling. They show the result of buying from them. Who you’ll be after.

Take Lacy Philips from To Be Magnetic as an example. The photos of her brand reflect the life she’s built as a result of the work she sells. From the clothes she wears, her morning routine, the food she eats, the house she bought with the money she’s made doing her work. The freedom in her lifestyle that she’s created. She’s fully embodying and reflecting the result of the work she’s selling.

THAT is what your brand photoshoot should give you. Photos so clear on who you are, what you do, and the exact type of client your product is for.

So if you’re booking a photoshoot, make sure to ask for these 5 types of photos so they serve your whole business, from website, sales pages, emails and flyers.

And if you don’t know how to include those shots, or what they would look like for your business? I’ve got you.

I create the whole vision and mood board so your photos reflect your unique personality AND business approach.
Ready to FINALLY DO THIS?

Every image strategically planned around your offers, your launches, your seasons. So you walk away with a photo library that actually supports you.

No more 9pm scramble the week before a launch or frazzled nervous system.

No pressure every quarter to plan another shoot, figure out what to wear, where to shoot it, or what kind of photos you need.

Because that loop is exhausting. And it’s the loop that quietly takes the joy out of launching a new offer.

This retreat is an opportunity to slip away for a few days, to go offline, to completely relax and focus of your business and what you’re creating for the next year.

Hand picked luxury accommodation, beautiful shoot locations across the UK & Europe.

Sunrises and sunsets, beach shoots that look like the vision board you’ve saved as your screensaver.

Slow mornings, real conversation, and a photographer who already knows your offers, your dream client, and exactly what your next year of content needs to do for you.

You leave with photos that support you for the whole year. You launch from a regulated nervous system. The visuals finally match the business you’re creating and growing into.

Only 4 spaces for 2026, comment RETREAT for the details.

The moment a woman sees herself in her photos, she sees, maybe for the first time, that she’s already closer to her dreams than she let herself believe.

You can make the vision board. Set the goals. Drill down on your ICA until you know what she wears.

But unless you’re taking daily action to build the business those dreams belong to, it stays on the vision board.

And right now, people are buying from feeling, they want connection. From the women they trust because they can actually see them, and know their personality.

A photoshoot is your vision board, realised. The version of you who’s confident enough to host the retreat, write the book, launch the thing, hold the collaboration.

And you see her daily on your website, your sales pages, your content, your Substack you’re showing yourself you already are her.

That’s the power of a personality-first brand photoshoot. You’re not just dreaming of the business you want, you’re building it daily, with visuals that make you feel confident, motivated, and exciting to share.

How would it feel to have photos you LOVE of yourself, all over your business?

Your headshots shouldn’t only happen once a year when you book a photoshoot, ok?!
We need to be owning the lens, not hiding from it and keep our content fresh, and current (yess with your new fringe 😉)
What I hear SO much from female founders is that they feel stuck using the same three photos on repeat, or worse pulling a rushed selfie when a podcast host asks for a headshot last minute.ďż˝
So here’s how to get you content you love whilst you’re planning your next photoshoot, so you don’t have to wait for content to show up and be visible in your business.
You can take a beautiful, on-brand image at home in literally 2 minutes 👇🏻
1. Find some window light and pull a comfy chair near it. Soft, natural light is doing the heavy lifting here. Drape textured throw to frame you, giving you instant curated vibes.ďż˝
2. Dress for the feeling of the photo, match your outfit to the energy you want your audience to feel. Reflective and calm? Soft knits. CEO mode? Crisp T-shirt. ďż˝
3. Film, don’t self timer. Open your front camera in video mode so you can see yourself and tweak as you go. Pose, breathe, sip your coffee, look just past the lens like you’re thinking up your next launch.
4. Screen grab the moment you love This is the cheat code, no “bad angle” because you can see yourself and move.

5. Wipe your lens before you start Sounds silly but a smudgy lens will make it out of focus. ďż˝
Build a little folder of these and future-you (the one being asked for a bio photo at 9pm) will thank you for it. ❤️

You know that woman, she walks into a room and you can’t help but stare at her. Not because she’s performing, because she’s just being herself freely.

On Instagram, she’s unscripted, real and honest. She doesn’t curate the background or stress about her hair because she’s too busy trusting what she’s saying has impact and needs to be shared.

She knows who she is, what her business is, and exactly who she’s here to serve.

She just shows up as herself, unapologetic, grounded, magnetic.

You can just feel your shoulders drop when you allow yourself to be like that.

This gets to be easier, I get to just be me. I get to call in my most aligned clients by just being me, and then my business becomes an extension of my world, my everyday real world and my personality.

I can just feel the anxiety drop just by saying that.

When is the last time you actually let yourself be on Instagram like that?

Most photographers just plan your mood board for the shoot, but I also prep your nervous system.ďż˝
Because the real reason you say you aren’t photogenic isn’t the photographer, the camera, the outfit, or your face. It’s that being photographed feel vulnerable.
That’s why I shoot in the forest. A place so calm and soothing you relax and let your real personality be captured, and felt in the photos instead of looking stiff and awkward.
If you’re ready to have a folder of photos you love, and finally realised you are photogenic. Comment FOREST and I’ll send you available dates for a photoshoot. A x
