Not every photo has to be perfectly posed to matter. 🤍

Sometimes it’s just a mum holding her boys. A toddler who isn’t quite sure about what’s happening. A newborn snuggled in mum’s arms. Real life, exactly as it is right now.

I know lots of parents worry about booking photos when they have a toddler who “won’t cooperate” but honestly, I never expect young children to sit and smile on command. It’s a huge change for them, and some little ones just need a bit more reassurance (and no amount of bribery will change their mind 😅).

So we keep things relaxed, take our time, and capture what we can in between the chaos. Because mums deserve to exist in photos with their babies too, not just the polished moments, but the real ones as well.

A few favourite moments from Ava’s shoot with her mummy ❤️

Ava’s 10 months old here, that gorgeous in-between stage where they’re full of personality, sitting, giggling but not quite one yet.

It’s such a fleeting age, and so often missed when everyone is waiting for that big first birthday milestone.

But honestly? This stage deserves to be remembered just as much.

I love photographing families more than I could ever explain. Seeing the way your baby lights up when they see you smile at them, watching the way their tiny body snuggles into the curves of your body, hearing them coo when you talk to them 🥹 I know lots of parents are reluctant to have their photo taken and I totally get it but these moments deserve to be captured and they will mean so much to you in years to come.
