I’ve just had some really sad news 🖤

Lovely boy Dylan at the grand age of 15 has sadly passed away.

And this is part of the message his best friend sent to me:-
“I will treasure those images forever ….”

I captured them together last year and as a senior boy then, Dylan did really well on his photo shoot and I love the interaction and connection that’s so evidently between the two of them.

It means such a lot to me that - despite the saddest of times they’re going through - my clients let me know, because it shows how much they value the photographs I have taken. When you grow up with a dog, the loss, I know, is felt so deeply.

So in memory of Dylan, here are a few special moments from their photo shoot in North Yorkshire 🐾🐾

Photographing senior dogs is very emotional for me.

Because I can relate to having had a dog reaching almost 15, knowing how moments with them become increasingly precious. And also how much more protective we become of our ageing best friends.

And I can honestly say I don’t have enough photographs of me with my girl ~ it’s a sad peril of being the photographer ~ the one always behind the lens and rarely in front of it.

We can’t turn back the clock to their younger days but we can preserve precious moments with them in photographs.

My flexible choice of collections are ideal for senior dogs - photo shoots to suit the dog’s needs in beautiful, relaxed locations. I take great care when I am capturing senior dogs ~ it’s a gentle photo shoot; calm, quiet and with my observational skills fully locked in.

At the helm is John Tallis, a young entrepreneur whose passion for gardening began with his grandfather and later developed through his degree in Landscape Art at Leeds Beckett.

My style of dog photography is very much about capturing the human connection with dogs.

These moments are so fleeting because dogs don’t stay still for very long especially with lots of stimuli to keep their busy brains on the go. But that’s what makes these moments so special ~ and this is what I see and work hard to photograph for my clients.

The response to these images have brought me a lot of joy because I know what they mean to my client.

A beautiful fine art album of these memories will soon be in the making too.

Diary of a country lady …. 🌿

It’s been lovely meeting recently and I’m really pleased to be working with her on a dog photo shoot day 🌿🐾🐾

She has a love of animals ~ horses and dogs and loves the Yorkshire countryside too, so of course we are bound to get on! Here she is with her wonderful German Short Haired Pointer.
