Take It Easy Lab is an independent film lab run by Liam and Joe, two cousins who have a passion for film and have been involved in the photography community for over 15 years.

We’re back after the Bank Holiday weekend and busy catching up with a very full queue!

It’s been our busiest summer yet at Take It Easy Lab, you’ve definitely been putting us through our paces 😅 But we wouldnt have it any other way, we’re so grateful for every order! 💛

With the Bank Holiday backlog on top of our usual busy-season workload, turnaround times are currently still a bit longer than usual. Our email responses may also take a little longer while we focus on getting through the scans.

As always, our latest turnaround times are shown in the website banner, so please check there for the most up to date info. The less time we spend answering individual status enquiries, the more time we can spend scanning!

 This is a free and friendly event, open to everyone. Feel free to bring prints or projects to share, but there’s no pressure! You’re welcome to come along just to meet and connect with the local photographic community! This event is BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage), alcoholic or non-alcoholic, the choice is yours. The lab has been enjoying the sunshine a little too much this week ☀️🥵

With the temperatures climbing, to make sure we’re keeping conditions comfortable for both our team and our equipment, we’ve made the call to close at 4pm for the rest of this week.

Thanks for bearing with us, we appreciate your understanding! And please stay safe and stay cool out there 🙏

A Week In The Life of: ⚽️

With the World Cup kicking off this week, it felt like the perfect time to share this edition of A Week In The Life.

Last month we handed our lab point-and-shoot camera to Leeds community football club Republica Internationale as they hosted their 2026 Mayday Tournament. Over the course of the week, they documented the people, moments and community that make the club what it is.

We’re all obsessed with how this double exposure came out, taken by lab customer 🌸

Wondering how it was taken? A double exposure is made by taking 2 images on the same frame of film, allowing them to blend together. Let us know in the comments if you’ve ever tried it yourself!
