Morganna Monk Photography North West UK, Family + Motherhood Photographer // capturing big milestones and the little moments that make up your story

Hi, my name’s Morganna and I’m a photographer. I’m relatively new to the photography game and it all started back in the summer of 2015 when I started Morganna Designs online and wanted to take better images of my floral designs. Two years later and I still have my trusty little canon EOS-M which I use for all my photography, investing in new lenses and little bits of kit as and when I can. In my

day life, I work at Lancaster University managing the social media accounts. It’s a busy job and I’m learning lots, however, my real passion is photography so when I’m not tweeting, you’ll find me with my little camera capturing the things that make my heart sing.

There is something quietly magical about watching a family wait for someone they haven't met yet.

On a warm April evening at Crook O'Lune, Jessie and her boys splashed, cuddled, explored and paused to feel the tiny kicks of the little soul who will soon make them a family of five. Between the laughter, the curiosity and the gentle embraces were all the beautiful in-between moments that make this season so unforgettable.

A reminder that maternity photographs aren't just about documenting a bump—they're about preserving the love, anticipation and connection that already exists before a new chapter begins. ✨

30 Days of Seeing Differently 📷

This June I'm challenging myself to slow down and shoot more 35mm film.

Not to create perfect photographs.
Not to chase social media trends.

Simply to notice.

The light on the kitchen floor
The way my children hold my hand.
The beauty hidden in ordinary days.

I've created 30 daily prompts to help me get out of a creative rut and fall back in love with seeing.

If you'd like to join me - whether you're shooting film, digital, or just using your phone - save this list and tag me in your images.

Let's spend June noticing the little things.

I’m looking for one family to take part in a relaxed summer storytelling session in their back garden 🌿☀️

Think:
bare feet,
hosepipe water fights,
ice lollies,
chalk drawings,
watering plants,
evening cuddles,
the beautiful ordinary magic of summer at home.

I’m creating a new offering centred around documenting childhood exactly as it feels right now — playful, nostalgic, real and unhurried.

I’m looking for:
– a family with children aged roughly 2–10
– a garden/outdoor space with room to play (it absolutely doesn’t need to be perfect!)
– parents happy for images/video clips to be used for marketing + social media

In return you’ll receive:
– a complimentary session
– 5 hand-edited images in my signature style
– first access to these new sessions before launch

The session would take place on a warm weekday evening in/around Lancaster & Morecambe.

If this sounds like your family, please comment below or send me a message telling me a little about yourselves 🤍

I’ll be choosing a family after half term while I take a short break with my own little ones ☀️

February beaches always have a kind of magic about them...wild skies, salty air, windswept hair and little hands clutching treasures found along the shoreline 🤍

Spending the morning with the Lucy-Lloyd family at Half Moon Bay felt less like a photoshoot and more like pressing pause on real family life for just a little while. The boys exploring with their wooden planes, proud little finds held up for everyone to admire, cuddles on driftwood logs and those fleeting glances between mum and dad that say "we made this little life together."

These are the moments I always hope families will remember years from now - not perfect poses or everyone looking at the camera, but the feeling of this season. The way your children fit into your arms. The laughter. The chaos. The tenderness tucked into ordinary moments together.

Family sessions don't need sunshine to be beautiful. Sometimes the cloudy, windswept days tell the story even better. 🌊

Thank you Lucy-Lloyd family for inviting me into your world for a morning - it was such a joy to document your adventure together. ✨

One day, the newborn stretches and sleepy cuddles will be memories.

The toddler adventures, sandy hands, and tiny arms wrapped tightly around your neck will quietly change too.

That’s why photographs matter.

Not because life is perfectly styled or posed — but because these fleeting little moments deserve to be remembered.

My sessions are relaxed, gentle, and centred around connection, allowing your family story to unfold naturally.

From newborn snuggles to toddler adventures, every chapter is worth documenting 🤍

✨ Motherhood & family sessions are now open for booking.

There's something so tender about toddler snuggles...the way they melt into you when they're tired, safe or simply needing mum. The way little hands hold tight, the way their eyes search for comfort only you can give. These are the moments that pass so quickly, yet mean absolutely everything. 🤍

Photographing Leah & Georgie for their Mother's Day Mini Session after they won my Instagram giveaway was such a joy. Windy beaches, warm knits, cuddles close to mum and all those beautifully in-between moments that tell the real story of motherhood.

I know mini sessions can sometimes feel "too short", but they really are the perfect way to pause time for a little while and update your family albums with images full of connection, personality and love. No pressure, no perfect posing - just your story, exactly as it is right now.

My spring mini sessions are now open for booking and I would love to photograph you and your little ones too. 🌿

Please send me a message for all the details or to reserve your session ✨
