I travelled to Mussenden Temple on Friday after looking at the forecast and seeing a clearing sky to the west. A perfect situation that sometimes produces an excellent sunset and on this occasion it came true!

Standing on the edge of a sheer drop in the cliffs behind the Giants Causeway I took in the sunset looking towards Lacada Point.

This is a true favourite viewpoint of mines but no picture can convey the sheer size of these cliffs.
It is an amazing sight to behold!

On Monday after work I made the trip to the Giant's Causeway and walked along the cliffs to my planned vantage point.

This is the view of Port Noffer looking over to the Grand Causeway we all know and love.

It was a cool night made even colder by standing on the edge of the cliff but any discomfort I felt was washed away by the beauty of the unfolding sunset.

Arch sunset at Ballintoy

A photo I took some months ago but only got round to editing it now!
When I arrived here this was the first spot I set my camera up at and then proceeded to jump all over the place looking for another composition only to return to the same area!
Was a pleasing enough sunset and I just love this whole area around Ballintoy as it offers so much to photograph.

Castlerock

I went up on bank holiday Monday just to get out to occupy the old brain and hopefully bag a photo.
It was a mixed day and you could almost feel the change of a season stirring in the air.
With heavy rain approaching from the west I thought it would be game over but with a high tide and a little glimmer of warmth from the setting sun I managed to get a decent shot with some real drama!

Whiterocks Beach , Portrush

I went back on another visit to this location to see if I could get the setting sun closer to the end of the beach and was pleased with the results.

It was a lovely sunset and a pleasure to watch the sun slowly dip down at the end of the day.
